Following are brief Rain Bird Services Corporation customer stories as examples of how we helped them achieve their irrigation goals. Rain Bird Services Corporation offers you the best in irrigation management. Here are some examples—from a small assessment project, to a comprehensive total solution, to an existing customer looking to fine tune their system for added benefit.
Like many other California cities, Tustin faced unprecedented economic conditions that created unique challenges for meeting the public’s expectation of high-quality park and recreational areas. Through a comprehensive total solution consisting of onsite assessments and training, database programming and remote irrigation water management services, Rain Bird Services Corporation was able to meet Tustin’s top two objectives: keep the grass green and not waste taxpayer money. NOTE: No physical changes were made to the irrigation system.

Situated atop Tecolote Canyon and
overlooking Mission Bay, the University
of San Diego combines 16th century
Spanish Renaissance architectural style
buildings with lush gardens that combine
for a picturesque campus setting. The
188-acre campus is home to 7,000 full
time students and has more than 800
faculty members. The number of Irrigation controllers spread throughout the campus made it unrealistic for a single person to manage
irrigation for the site. An even more challenging task was quickly shutting down controllers during a rain event which
was nearly impossible. The solution was to centralize control of the irrigation system, but doing so had to be cost effective for the university.

Poway Unified School District took advantage of our services on a smaller scale, but in a way that will lead to great success for them. Poway was an existing customer not using their installed irrigation system to its full potential. They needed help collecting data and understanding what worked and what didn’t. Rain Bird Services Corporation conducted database programming, inventory assessment and other services. Poway can now operate their system more efficiently and achieve outstanding results.
