What is a Rain Bird Certified Irrigation Professional?

A Rain Bird Certified Residential & Light Commercial Installer is someone:

1. who has successfully demonstrated the appropriate skills to install an irrigation system.
2. who has passed a rigorous test on irrigation installation. 
3. who has taken irrigation industry courses and is committed to do so on an ongoing basis.
4. who has at least three years of industry knowledge.
5. who has a minimum of 1200 hours of practical knowledge in irrigation installation.
6. who has agreed to abide by a code of ethical behavior.

A Rain Bird Certification is NOT:

1. Awarded to a company.  A Rain Bird Certification is awarded only to individuals.
2. An approval, guarantee, warranty or endorsement by Rain Bird Corporation or Rain Bird Services Corporation of the installations or work of a Rain Bird Certified individual.
3. Transferable to another person.  Only the person who has completed all of the requirements of the Rain Bird Certification can be called Rain Bird Certified.

A Rain Bird Certified individual:

1. Is not an agent, employee, franchisee, partner, joint venture or legal representative of Rain Bird Corporation or Rain Bird Services Corporation.
2. Is not authorized to use the name "Rain Bird" or other Rain Bird trademarks or service marks except as may be expressly authorized by the certification program.
3. May not make any statements, including in any advertising or marketing materials that are contrary to the foregoing.
