Rain Bird Certified Irrigation Professional: Application Process

Thanks for your interest in becoming a Rain Bird Certified Residential and Light Commercial Installer.  In order to apply to the program the following steps will need to be taken:


Submit a non-refundable application fee of $55.00

Process Application Fee

Once your payment has been confirmed a link to the prequalifying exam will be sent to you by email with a link to the Rain Bird Certified Residential and Light Commercial Installer Application.

 


We recognize that significant irrigation experience counts for a lot, so we have three paths from which the experienced irrigation contractor can choose.  Select from the following three certification paths, based on your irrigation and industry experience:

Path 1 Eligibility

To be eligible for Path 1, you must:

*Full Requirements to become certified through the program once you have been accepted:

  • Successful completion of the 3-1/2 day Rain Bird Residential and Light Commercial Installation Workshop
  • Score 70% or better on the written certification exam.

Path 2 Eligibility

To be eligible for Path 2, you must:

*Full Requirements to become certified through the program once you have been accepted:

  • Successful completion the practical certification exam  
  • Score 70% or better on the written certification exam.

Path 3 Eligibility

To be eligible for Path 3, you must:

*Full Requirements to become certified through the program once you have been accepted:

  • Successful completion of the practical certification exam  
  • Score 70% or better on the written certification exam.


Upon submittal of your application materials and your pre-qualification your application will be reviewed and a determination will be made if you have met all of the eligibility requirements of the program.  You will be notified in writing within 30 business days if you have been selected to the program.

Once you have been accepted into the program you can continue in the registration process:

Path 1 Applicants:

Path 2 and Path 3 Applicants:

Completion

If you have met the entire requirement listed on Step 2, for Path 1, Path 2 or Path 3 you will be notified in writing that you are now a Rain Bird Certified Residential and Light Commercial Installer.  You will receive a package with marketing materials and other certification materials that will help you market yourself as a Rain Bird Certified Residential and Light Commercial Installer.
